+o The appearance and behavior of some VRML content may
change when viewed using 1.0.2 as a result of changes
to the VRML specification itself. The "Moving Worlds"
VRML 2.0 ISO/IEC 14772-1 Specification was sent to the
ISO committee for final ratification in May, 1997.
Cosmo Worlds and Cosmo Player 1.0.2 have been
significantly revised to be completely ISO spec
compliant. Visit http://vrml.sgi.com/moving-worlds/
for an overview, and http://vrml.sgi.com/moving-
worlds/spec for the official, final version of the ISO
specification, and a list of all changes and
modifications to earlier versions of the specification.
A list of all changes from the 8/4/96 VRML 2.0 spec to
the ISO spec may be found on:
http://vrml.sgi.com/moving-
worlds/spec.DIS/index.html#Summary
+o A Polygon Counter has been added to Cosmo Worlds for
the 1.0.1 release. This feature can be invoked by
choosing "Display Polygon Count" from the View menu.
The online documentation also details how to use this
feature.
+o The Pep Texture Applicator has been improved for the
1.0.2 release. You can now select multiple texture
coordinates points (shift click or sweep select) and
translate them together. You can also rotate and scale
them relative to a user settable center. In addition,
the plannar mapping functions have been improved (non
stretched pixels, and mapping similar to a face of a
cube).
+o A new PEP operation has been added which allows you to
reverse the vertex ordering of the selected polygons.
This is especially useful immediately following a
negative scale via the PEP jack. The new button is
located at the very bottom of the PEP palette.
